You’ll soon find that in our part of town, there’s so much to do and so little time! Here’s a snapshot.
If retail therapy is what you’re after, then a 3-minute walk from the front of Sukhumvit Soi 1 (where the shuttle drops you off) will take you to Central Embassy, where high fashion meets high street, along with all kinds of scrumptious eats. Central Embassy connects to Central Chidlom, the neighbouring mall, and also one of Bangkok’s oldest and most loved malls in the vicinity. You can find anything you may have ever wanted. Further afield, there’s Central World, a multi-mall complex with a wide array of f&b offerings, entertainment, and more. Terminal 21 is also another mall complex to check out, with a huge variety of eateries, and all manner of boutique style shops, where you’ll find everything from imported Korean cosmetics, wholesale jewelry, and made-to-order dresses, to Thai souvenirs, snacks, mobile phone repair shops, and even a cinema.
Visit the iconic Erawan shrine, which is right across from Central World, and at the intersection of Bangkok’s priciest strip of real estate (where some of the city’s most popular hotels also reside). The intersection where this shrine sits is also known as the Rajprasong intersection, famed for being the intersection for high-end shopping, with lots of eateries, and a bustling pedestrian streetlife as well. Towards the back end of the Central World is another shrine, where those hoping for luck in love go to make their wishes.
